THE PRINTS IN THE SAND HAND

ETCHED INDELIBLY

There is a highway I used to sit and contemplate because they built a reservoir in the middle of it and rerouted the road.

On a clear day I could see the road go way down in the water and I was very intrigued by the way the sand and the wind and the water were eroding the highway. I took a picture once, (I no longer have it) and titled it "Nature Reclaims".

There is so much that we do that makes so little impression on the world. I saw a day when we are all gone and nature working slowly and surely to erase every trace that we were ever here. Why should she hurry after all?
