A SENSE OF URGENCY............
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT ONE WOULD AWAKE ONE MORNING AND SUDDENLY GET THE FEELING OF A SENSE OF URGENCY TO ONE'S LIFE.
HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOR THAT MOMENT IN TIME WHEN ONE'S LIFE FLASHES BEFORE ONE'S EYES?
THE STRANGEST THING WOULD BE IF YOU WERE NOT EXPERIENCING THAT NEAR DEATH MOMENT OR BEING TRAUMATISED BY AN EMOTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCE.
HOW DOES ONE ASSIMILATE THE FEELING OF MEANING OF ONE'S LIFE OR DOES ONE SIMPLY IGNORE THE FEELING AND PRETEND THAT IT WAS NOT REALLY HAPPENING AND THAT IT WAS THE MIND PLAYING TRICKS----AN ILLUSION.
IT IS EASY TO DISMISS THESE FEELINGS, BUT WHY DO THEY KEEP ON POPPING UP?
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT ONE IS GOING TO ACT ON THESE FEELINGS AND INVESTIGATE THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT PRESENT THEMSELVES?
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT ONE IS GOING TO SUCCEED?
THERE IS A GREAT PROBABILITY THAT IF ONE TAKES THE GAMBLE AND THE LEAP OF FAITH INTO THE ABYSS, THAT YOU WILL GET SOMEWHERE.
IT MIGHT NOT BE WHERE YOU EXPECTED TO BE, BUT THEN, IT WILL MAKE AN INTERESTING JOURNEY.
IF ONE NEVER TAKES THAT LEAP, THEN YOU ARE KEEPING YOURSELF BOUND IN THE PARAMETERS OF YOUR OWN FEARS AND YOU DEFINATELY ,WILL NOT FIND OUT WHAT THE STORY IS.
WHEN THIS THREAD OF URGENCY CONTINUES AND DIPS INTO THE REALMS OF DARKNESS....
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THAT THE LIGHT IS NO LONGER AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL----IT SURROUNDS ME.
I AM THE TORCH BEARER FOR MY OWN DESTINY.
PERPETUATING THAT WHICH IS FUNCTIONAL AND USABLE, BUT ALWAYS BEING PREPARED TO LET GO OF THE ZONE OF COMFORT, WHICH IS GREAT AND HAS DEBILITATING AND VEGETATIVE EFFECTS

Hi Derik,
Fear is what always holds us back from finding our true potential. As someone who stood between life and death I found that upon returning to the land of the living I am a bit more adventurous. But I am honest to say that when one fear is overcome there are more to meet. This is where we grow.
Just speaking of my own feelings but existing in this mortal shell is a tough situation to be put into as a soul trying to evolve. As human "animals" we must deal with emotions, instincts, hormonal changes, the conscious brain and so many other things. It is an amazing feat when we can transcend these obstacles.

Yes, we surely must take risks and abandon our comfort zones, if we want to achieve anything of worth, or find our bliss.
My bliss is doing art, and I do it with a sense of urgency, for sure!
